 McCain in the middle
Back to Full Blog

The middle is beginning to look pretty good

After every vote is counted in November (this could take a while in Florida), if Obama isn't the President-Elect, then every person who didn't vote for him will be labeled a racist by the left. The next big thing to happen will be Michael Moore filming a highly publicized documentary about the racist Republican Party.  But, I can live with that.

Now consider the consequences if Obama does win.  It's certainly no big secret that Obama, Biden, Pelosi, and Reed are all far to the left, not a moderate amongst them.  We must remember that they are the ones who will be running the government if Obama is elected. This should be of great concern not just to conservatives and Republicans, but to moderates and independents as well.  Swings left or right in our Government are normal and to be expected, but swings to the far left or far right doesn’t truly serve or reflect the American people.

When McCain won the Republican nomination I was somewhat disappointed that someone more conservative didn't win.  However, the real beauty of a McCain presidency is that the government would be balanced.  Even the most optimistic Republican doesn’t expect the Democrats to lose control of Congress. That means the executive branch would be controlled by a Republican who has a history of working in a bipartisan manner with the Democrats who would control the legislative branch. This is the sort of practical reasonable government that turns down the volume on the bitterly partisan rhetoric of the last couple decades, and gives America a government more reflective of acceptable to the vast majority of the American people.

The bottom line is, if we don't rally behind the only alternative left to us, this country will become a true Socialist State.

Whether Obama proves to be "The One", whom the 60s radicals have anointed to seal the deal on their long-awaited Marxist revolution, lies now in the hands of the American electorate. A young rock star type like Barack Obama is just what they have been waiting for to revive the dead horse of socialism.

Tick,
You and BiPolar are bit reactionary, aren't you? A Socialist State? That is not what will occur when Obama wins. However, it sounds more inviting than a Fascist State in which we find ourselves now. The major negative with conservatives is that YOU ARE ALL SO DAMNED SELFISH. A large helping of social justice is long overdue and I think the American people know when they have been screwed by 30 years of "trickle down" lies and theft. It's O.K. , you can still go on being selfish. You simply will not be calling the shots for a long while.

QUOTE:

Now that the Senator with the furthest left voting record in the Senate and the Senator with the third furthest left voting are the Democrats' nominees for President and Vice President, there will be great expressions of indignation over being "negative" if anyone dares call them "liberals." Actually, leftists would be more accurate.

Liberal is a good and honorable word. Leftist is also fine. Repubs have done their best to demonize the words while fleecing the nation and leading us to this brink of collapse. Obama and Biden will make excellent leaders. I have never read any opinion by Sowell that I could agree with. He's not quite as irritating as Krauthammer but just as misguided. When will you break out the Cal Thomas and Michelle Malkin?

Todie, it's time for you to wake up and realize that the Democratic party of today is not the party of JFK. The old Democratic Party has been replaced by a bunch of socialist that are in the pockets of extreme left interest groups like: PETA, NEA, AFL-CIO, ACLU, Green Peace, etc.

And that's only part of the problem. If you took all the fraud and corruption out of politics, there would be no Democratic Party left, and the Republican Party would be half its current size. And what a wonderful world it would be.

Tick,
You have the parties reversed. Nearly all the corruption of the last two decades has been repub. You really must start using facts and not lying, distorted repub talking points. I know what the Democratic party is today. With all their faults they are not the sleazy, murderous, thieving, criminals that populate the republican party. Your bullhorn needs a new battery, I can barely hear you.
